Aceites Málaga and the pursuit of excellence at the 39th Salón Gourmet
There are dates that we mark on the calendar with particular excitement, and for the Aceites Málaga team, the week of 13–16 April was undoubtedly one of them. Madrid hosted the 39th edition of the Salón Gourmet, and we were there to experience it first-hand, feeling the pulse of an industry that never stops evolving, yet always returns to its roots: quality produce.
A shared experience

Our presence at this year’s event held special significance as we took part under the banner of Sabor a Málaga; for us, it is not simply a matter of occupying a physical space at an exhibition centre, but of proudly representing the identity of our region together. At the stand, the atmosphere was one of constant and vibrant exchange, allowing us to enjoy much-needed reunions where we could once again look into the eyes of those customers who have been with us for years and, at the same time, put a face and a story to the new voices now joining our family. It was, moreover, a unique opportunity for mutual learning; sharing aisles and confidences with fellow producers allowed us to gauge first-hand the direction of contemporary gastronomy, exchanging experiences and shared challenges that can only arise in a forum of this magnitude. All this display of professionalism was complemented by the invaluable warmth of the public, reminding us that there is no better measure of quality nor greater reward than seeing the look of satisfaction on a visitor’s face when they taste our oil for the first time. It is precisely those moments of informal chat, those spontaneous comments and that genuine closeness that nourish us as a brand, giving meaning to all the effort we put into every harvest and reaffirming that our driving force remains our direct contact with the people who value the origin of what they consume.

Whilst the Salón Gourmet was the setting for our work, the Boquerón Victoriano awards ceremony was where we allowed ourselves to get emotional.
Attending this event was a treat for the soul. It was an atmosphere brimming with warmth, where the efforts of professionals who, like us, believe in the excellence of local produce were celebrated. Seeing dedication and respect for the product being recognised made us feel a deep sense of connection and pride in being part of such a vibrant culinary scene.
We return to Málaga with a suitcase full of contacts and projects, but above all with the satisfaction of having shared our passion for olive oil. This event reinforces our corporate mission: to bring the essence of our oil mills to the most discerning tables, whilst never losing sight of the warm, personal touch that defines us.
